Just wanted to congratulate Sue and Chris on producing and running such a lovely, oldy worldy bookshop. Sue and Chris are always very welcoming and helpful. When my daughter won 1st prize for a Junior Journalist Challenge competition recently,they put her winning entry in the local newspaper in their shop window and made quite a fuss of her. It is always a pleasure to visit this charming little book shop.

In spite of living near Oxford whenever we come to Scotland we always call in at Atkinson Pryce to have a break in our journey and browse. We come out laden with books and delightful cards. We love calling in to such a wonderful cosy and welcoming shop. Just wish we had a bookshop like it in Oxford!

Excellent suggestions when asked. Wide and varied choices, new authors and old and trusted ones, something for the children in the family. The newly furbished extra space just adds more comfort for browse in, with leather chairs, and tea or coffee on request. When abroad, requested books are sent out promptly, with great friendly service and attention. All that an excellent bookstore should aim to be.
