The best bookshop in town! Just wanted to congratulate Sue and Chris on producing and running such a lovely, oldy worldy bookshop. Sue and Chris are always very welcoming and helpful. When my daughter won 1st prize for a Junior Journalist Challenge competition recently, they put her winning entry in the local newspaper in their shop window and made quite a fuss of her. It is always a pleasure to visit this charming little book shop. Posted by Dawn Kennedy on 21 March 2010 This is an absolutely delightful bookshop and gets better as time goes on... Posted by jasmin cann on 18 March 2010 In spite of living near Oxford whenever we come to Scotland we always call in at Atkinson Pryce to have a break in our journey and browse. We come out laden with books and delightful cards. We love calling in to such a wonderful cosy and welcoming shop. Just wish we had a bookshop like it in Oxford! Posted by Jane Hornsby on 14 March 2010 Thanks! Just returned from a visit to the bookshop and once again I am delighted with my purchases. I really appreciate having such a variety of choice, locally. Thanks also for the work involved in selling tickets and generally promoting all kinds of events in the town Posted by Loraine Stewart on 02 March 2010 Chris and Sue are invaluable at finding us books for our collection, sourcing books requested by our visitors and supplying us with books by John Buchan for sale to the hundreds of visitors who come every season Deborah Stewartby,John Buchan Museum,Broughton Posted by Deborah Stewartby on 26 February 2010 No Title on 26 February 2010 Fantastic Local Asset on 24 February 2010 a wonderful welcoming bookshop on 24 February 2010 A Fine Bookshop on 23 February 2010 Bookshop on 23 February 2010 Acclamation on 23 February 2010 Again on 23 February 2010 No Title on 23 February 2010 a tardis of a shop on 22 February 2010 Ideal Bookshop on 22 February 2010 excellent bookshop! on 22 February 2010 No Title on 22 February 2010 An Aladdin's cave of a bookshop nestling at the bottom of Biggar's High Street. There's something very vital and energising about this little shop...the imaginative window displays and warm atmosphere inside make it impossible to pass by without dropping in to delve (and spend...). Here, you can settle down in a cosy armchair with a coffee and read, chat, think, losing all sense of time (that wonderful tardis-like quality that all really good bookshops have). The programme of visiting speakers and readings organised enriches the community no end, and the children's section is as colourful and enticing as a sweet shop! Just a lovely place to be.
